Dita Warthen DTS434 Sunglasses
A limited edition that showcases its mechanics rather than hiding them. The Warthen carves a rectangular face from thick Japanese acetate, then opens it up with exposed screws arranged in pairs on each side. The fluted titanium temple block reads like a piece of weaponry, with its conical washers and stacked screws. The serial number is engraved on the left lens.
Who is it for?
A 54 mm lens mounted on a wide and tall face, meaning a frame that unequivocally dominates the face. It primarily suits medium to large, oval or elongated face shapes, and can overwhelm smaller faces. The real advantage lies in its adjustability: the temples can be adjusted at five points by an optician, from 140 to 152 mm, which compensates for differences in ear height. The black remains understated despite its volume, while the gold version with brown lenses unashamedly asserts its status as an object.
